The Sabbatical

Last Spring Barb and Dave were notified that they had been awarded the Rowland Sabbatical by Burr and Burton Academy. The Rowland Sabbatical is made possible through the generosity of Barry and Wendy Rowland. Its purpose is described below.

The purpose of the Rowland Sabbatical is to provide the opportunity for teachers to continue their education, conduct research, experience other cultures through travel, and/or pursue projects that directly relate to their teaching at Burr and Burton. This intensive enrichment and professional development experience is intended to create a lasting impact on student learning and strengthen our academic program. Full-time faculty with at least seven years of teaching experience at BBA are eligible to apply.
