We started the day in Rothenburg with a lovely breakfast at our hotel. We then took a little time to walk along the city wall. As you walk along and look out through the arrow loops, your imagination naturally builds a picture of defending the city against enemies. We did a little shopping and said goodbye to Rothenburg as we boarded our train to Munich.
We arrived in Munich and checked into our hotel. The boys did some homework while we did some planning. Then we hopped on public transportation to the university section, where we met our friend Katharina. Katharina lived with us for a few months in 2010 and it was great to see her and catch up. We enjoyed a great dinner together and then headed back to the hotel. While it feels great to be in Munich, we also can't believe that this is the second-to-last stop on our trip!
Enjoy your last wonderful days! As a family, what a great opportunity- and one the kids will never forget.
